Audrey (Dee) Ashbach joined the International Water Institute in February of 2026 as a Monitoring and GIS Specialist. Prior to joining the IWI full-time, she interned as a GIS assistant for one year while completing her bachelor’s and master’s degree at North Dakota State University, Fargo. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources Management with an emphasis on water, habitat, and environmental management and continued her education by earning a master’s degree in Natural Resources Management.

Growing up in rural North Dakota, Dee developed a strong appreciation for the outdoors and prairie landscape surrounding her. She now lives in Fargo where she enjoys camping, kayaking, fishing and finding new ways to explore and enjoy the natural world.
