Alec Wilcox attended Bemidji State University where he recieved a degree in Wildlife Biology with a minor in Wetlands Ecology and a GIS emphasis. Before starting at IWI, he worked as a Fisheries Biologist Technician at Voyageur’s National Park, where he worked on many different research projects as well as leading the Voyageur’s National Park Service Water Quality Monitoring Program. When he’s not working, Alec enjoys spending time chasing walleye and panfish through the ice, bird hunting, and exploring the outdoors.
