Josh joined the International Water Institute in 2024 as a GIS Analyst and Watershed Planner. Before that, Josh earned his Bachelors in Environmental Biology and spent 6 years at a GIS project center specializing in wetland mapping leaving as a GIS Analyst / Internship Coordinator and project manager. He did this while working on his MBA. Josh mapped wetlands across Minnesota, North Dakota, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Alaska. He visited many of these locations to conduct field verification. He was a principal driver behind a scholarship developed for students working at the project center and an Internship Exchange Program that placed students as interns with partners and clients; University of Montana (EMMA), Rio Grande Return, Kenai River Watershed Forum etc. In addition, Josh applied wetland inventory data products to wetland monitoring and assessment plans and worked with models estimating wetland intrinsic potential and potentially restorable wetlands. Originally from Portland OR., Josh enjoys hunting, soccer, and music.
