Meet Alyssa Hauser-Johnson

Alyssa Hauser-Johnson | Monitoring and Education Specialist

Caring, Analytical, Adventurous

Alyssa Hauser-Johnson joined the International Water Institute in 2024 as a Monitoring and Education Specialist. Prior to working full time with IWI, Alyssa spent two years in education as a science teacher who worked with IWI through the River Watch Program.
Alyssa grew up in Bayfield, Wisconsin with a close connection to the waters of Lake Superior and came to Minnesota to attend Bemidji State University where she graduated in 2022 with a degree in Aquatic Biology and an emphasis in Fisheries Management. Alyssa believes that everyone should be able to experience the natural world and is excited to help provide opportunities for outdoor education.
Alyssa now lives near Clearbrook with her husband, labrador retriever, and two fluffy cats. When not working you can find her on the water reeling in fish, in the woods, or curled up somewhere with a good book.
