Meet Mitch Braget

Mitch Braget | GIS Technician

Genuine, Reliable, Good Sense of Humor

Mitch Braget is from Lake Bronson, MN and is often confused with Austin Braget (it’s the accent).  He began with the International Water Institute in 2017, working as a GIS Technician.  His primary focus is contributing to PTMapp projects, working alongside Grit in our Fargo office.

Mitch earned a BS in Geography with an Environmental focus from the University of North Dakota. While earning a degree at UND, he worked on projects through the University’s Geography Department. The projects included digitizing trees in western North Dakota to identify mule deer populations and mapping wetlands in the prairie pothole region of Eastern North Dakota. After undergrad, Mitch completed a MA in Geography from Kansas State University. His thesis focused on mapping the Zambezi wetland in the Chobe River Basin of Namibia and Botswana. Mitch’s interests are in GIS, wetland mapping/conservation, and sustainability science.

Mitch’s interests outside of work include reading, playing video games, and trying to catch up on all of the TV and movies everyone is talking about.
