Danni Halvorson is the Executive Director of the International Water Institute, where he leads the organization’s efforts to advance watershed research, environmental education, and collaborative water resource management throughout the Red River Basin. Since joining IWI in 2010, Danni has played a key role in expanding regional monitoring and education programs and building partnerships that connect communities, schools, and resource professionals to science-based watershed solutions. With more than 20 years of experience in water resource management, Danni is dedicated to helping communities understand, protect, and enhance the region’s natural resources for future generations.
When he is not in the office, Danni enjoys spending time outdoors, whether he’s fishing for walleye, hunting whitetails, or exploring and appreciating the natural landscapes of the Red River Basin.
